Sharon Malatestinic

Chief Nursing Officer

Sharon Malatestinic, MBA, BSN, R.N. is the chief nursing officer of Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital. In this role, she oversees the nursing department and serves as a member of the hospital’s medical executive committee.

A nurse for more than 24 years, Sharon has worked in peri-anesthesia management at UPMC Pinnacle and Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Delaware. Previously, she served as chief nursing officer at Encompass Health (formerly HealthSouth) in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Sharon earned a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern University and an associate degree in nursing from Harrisburg Area Community College. She is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and obtained certification in rehabilitation nursing in 2019.
