Kathy Lewis

Kathy Lewis, RN, DHSc, is the director of quality management at Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital. In this role she oversees quality, compliance and infection control.

A nurse for 45 years, Kathy worked in bedside nursing for 19 years and transitioned to Quality and Compliance in 1998. For the past 25 years, she has held senior leadership positions in acute care, critical access and hospice organizations.

Kathy received her associate’s degree in nursing in 1987, bachelor’s degree in health sciences education in 1996 and master’s degree in health sciences education in 2006—all from Indiana University. Kathy concluded her formal education in 2014 by earning a Doctorate in Healthcare Sciences from A.T. Still University.
